Verification & Maintenance of Certification The American Osteopathic Association (AOA) is the certifying organization and its American Osteopathic Information Association (AOIA) must be contacted to respond to all verifications of certification. That office releases the official form of verification, a physician profile. You
may use the AOA website to send your physician profile directly to a
state licensure board. AOA
Website Membership in the AOA must remain current and in good standing in order for certification to continue its active status. CAQ certification requires the maintenance of primary certification in family practice. AOA membership requires the payment of dues on an annual basis and the documentation of CME hours as follows: (note that the AOBFP requires additional hours for the maintenance of certification) AOA Membership Requirements
